We’ve now been traveling for five weeks and are still getting along great!
Leaving San Antonio we headed west through the “Hill Country” and climbing over 1,000 feet to Junction, TX where we are spending tonight at a campground along the Llano River. 
While walking along the river, we saw butterflies, pure white ducks, emerging flowers and stream washed stones.
The drive was highlighted by spectacular cuts through hillsides where the strata of the rocks are on display.
It gives you pause to think of the millennium over which they were laid down … and how quickly dynamite can destroy nature’s work.
We also saw our first 80 MPH speed limit signs.
