We awoke to a thick fog which burned off by the time we got on the road. Our first stop was Mammoth Caves. Enroute we apparently went back in time passing
Unfortunately, the tours we hoped to take were not scheduled until the afternoon and those still open for the morning were billed as have some very confining passages and those with claustrophobia were discouraged from taking them.
So we headed north to just outside Lexington where were spending several days with my first cousin and Smart Bug Corp business partner, Jack Kelly, and his wife, Kathy.
Lots of farm land and, as Debbie noted, a decaying barn seemed to be a hallmark of each farm.
One of which abuts the rear of Jack’s home
which has special meaning for Jack and I as our grandfather was a top trotter owner and drive in the greater Boston area during the 1920’s.
