October 27, 2012 – Another Day in Grand Junction, CO

It was 11o outside when we got out of bed this morning.  Although we might have left today, the pass is clear and roads dry, but the chance of precipitation is higher and the winds predicted to be stronger today and on Sunday.  So, the decision was easy to stay here in Grand Junction another day.

Debbie and Jane off again, so I have been able to get some work done on the rig and catch up on this blog.

While running one errand, I was able to find a few more great views of the Grand Junction valley.

Looking South toward the Colorado Monument Mesa

Looking toward the mountains to the North

There were also several alpaca farms

and a grasshopper which had been hanging around for the past two days.

This afternoon, and on into the evening, Debbie had a ball with Jane’s almost 3-year old granddaughter, Avery.

Rod and two of his hunting buddies were back from their hunt for great homemade dinner.
