February 24, 2010 – Heading Further South

It was overcast this morning and the weather report hinted that the bad weather headed for the East Coast was likely to affect North Carolina with the possibility of that “four letter word” … SNOW!

Rather than the shorter day we’d planned, we decided to get well south of any potential bad weather and made it to a lovey RV campground in Johns Island, SC … a few miles southwest of Charleston.  We had a great meal in a local Mexican restaurant.

Our plan is to stay put tomorrow before going on to Hilton Head on Friday.

For all our friends and family in PA, NJ and NH … tomorrow it is supposed to be bit cool in the morning with crystal clear skies and temperature reaching the mid-50s by mid-afternoon.

During our drive, I got to thinking that traveling on an extended trip in an RV with your spouse is a bit like wall papering with her.  You’ll either be ready to kill each other (we had this thrilling experience while repapering the bathroom in our Wayland house) or you’ll relax, agree on a less hectic pace and have a great time together.  Fortunately we are in the latter category.
