July 15, 2016 – Boise ID to Pollack/Riggins ID (and an incredibly beautiful campground)

Not much to write about today.  Leaving the Boise area, the landscape on either side of I-84 was marked by large farms, seemingly raising corn and hay which ran to the near barren bluffs often 5-10 or more miles away and still more distant mountains.

The further north we drove, crops, as well as trees, were concentrated close to streams and rivers, several of which we crossed more than once.

Approaching the canyons, most of the farms disappeared, and were replaced with brown hillsides,

As has been our practice, photographing “old” things is both interesting and helps pass time during long stretches on the road.

Early this afternoon, we arrived at Canyon Pines RV Resort, a small campground.  Our site allowed us to look out our door at the Little Salmon River …
