This morning we took a drive around part of Hilton Head Island looking for a beach we could walk and, on the recommendation of someone we met, wound up at the Marriott Beach and Golf Resort.
With an almost cloud-free sunny skies, temperatures in the mid to high 70s and a gentle sea breeze we took a 3-4 mile stroll
picking our way around dozens of jellyfish which had been recently washed up,
and temporarily abandoned chairs,
all the while people watching.
This afternoon we got together with Bob and MJ Newbert for a cruise on an electric boat,
part of the “fleet” of small boats available to the residents of Palmetto Bluffs along a extremely peaceful six mile man-made river …
along which there are several beautiful homes.
There was also an abundance of wildlife.
Unfortunately, the several turtle we saw were too far away to capture.
This evening, dinner at
where the Happy Hour specials included live music and pulled-pork and BLT tacos for the unbelievable price of just $1.00!
