April 9, 2016 – Heading South but Still Chilly

We left the Richmond area this morning with temps in the low 40s.  The drive down I-85 through southern Virginia and northern North Carolina is far prettier and more relaxing than if we’d been traveling south along the I-95 corridor.  The ”monotony” to the generally rural, tree-lined drive was occasionally broken by extended stretches of our tax dollars at work …

Constructionand steady northwest winds blowing around 20 MPH with gusts of between 35-40 MPH

We’re presently ensconced at a lovely campground in Linwood, NC where the temperatures may drop into the mid-20s … BRRR!
