March 7 – 21, 2015 – Another Two Weeks in Heaven … Naples Botanical Gardens

While the weather back home has vacillated from an occasional spring-like day to rain, sleet and snow … we’ve had wild temperature swings between 83 and 88 degrees and nighttime chills in the mid-60s!

This past Thursday, we went to the Naples Botanical Gardens, which have become much lusher since our first visit three years ago. And, our timing was perfect as everything seemed to be in full bloom.

The Gardens also have a dinosaur exhibit … and although I sent several of my grandchildren pictures and videos showing them moving and making dinosaur noises …

I have yet to convince them that they are REAL!

The highlight of the past two days was moving from site 142 to 144, as the one we’d been in for the past six weeks has been sold and if we’d remained there the resort owners would have to split the revenue for the remainder of our stay with the new owner.   While the actual physical move of our coach took less than five minutes; stowing rugs and tables in our motorhome so we could pull in our slides; retracting our jacks; disconnecting our power, water, cable and sewer; schlepping our outdoor furniture, grill, to the new site; and reconnecting up our utilities consumed well over an hour.
