Our first stop was at
where we needed to have our engine air conditioning system changed (as our motor home was built on a Ford V-10 chassis and RV service dealers are hesitant to do such work). It turns out the compressor was cracked … a potential $1,000-plus expense. However, we really had no choice and decided to bite the bullet.
Fortunately, the extended warranty policy we bought when we purchased our motor home covered all but the $50 deductible.
With all of our maintenance issues now (hopefully) behind us, we were on the road before noon for the short drive to Sarasota where we’ll spend the next nine days visiting with friends and family.
