Today’s sunrise was a colorful repeat of last evening sunset, although this time in the East.
Meantime, looking out over the Canal, I was then greeted by a noisy local resident.
Much of today’s trip wound its way south across the Upper Peninsula along a ribbon of tree-lined blacktop winding southward over an unexpected number of hills
periodically interrupted by small lakes
and, as we neared the Lake Michigan shore, several farms, mostly devoted to corn.
Once heading east along U.S. Route 2, we passed through several small communities where several items caught our eye.
before finally reaching our destination of Rapid River
Our campground was both fun and unusual in its décor of eclectic “yard trash”.
