July 15, 2013 – Drive to Lexington, KY

Leaving West Virginia, the landscape along a relatively-traffic free I-64 ranged from forest-covered rolling hills

and, the closer to Lexington we traveled, farmlands.

After checking in at our campground, we drove to Nicholsville and then to the hospital in Lexington to visit with my cousin, Jack.

That evening, we had dinner with Jack’s wife, Kathy, and daughter, Kerry, at what is billed as the #1 burger joint in Kentucky.

Returning to our campground, the darkening sky framed several backlit clouds.
